Your dream of a beautiful life is a distant memory.
You crawled into bed last night, tired and longing for rest.
The voice in your head wouldn’t be quiet. The voice that keeps jumping from one problem to another. The voice that replays what he said and what you said – and then what you wish you had said, instead.
At some point you must have drifted off to sleep… but this morning you’re tired AND a bundle of nerves. How is that even possible?
Things are not “fine.”
There’s a thought that keeps pushing in. You’ve tried to push it away, but you can’t keep pretending. Things are not “fine” or “good enough.” Not with your partner. Not with people at work. Not with friends. Life is not going “fine.” You are NOT happy.
You’ve tried to fix things, but it hasn’t gotten any better. You’re out of ideas. Stuck. Trapped.
But the worst part is that you don’t like who you’re becoming. You’re ashamed of your thoughts, feelings, and the words you hear coming out of your own mouth.
You feel sad, anxious, exhausted, and alone. A life of beauty seems impossible.
How therapy can help you…
Therapy is a journey of transformation… creating the life you were meant to live. A life of beauty, including the peace that comes from living according to your most treasured values.
Therapy is a journey toward healing… discovering wounds and caring for them. No one is perfect. Each one of us is human, and we carry the wounds and scars of that imperfection. In therapy, we dig deep to uncover injuries and give the care that is needed for healing.
Therapy is a challenge… you’re worth the effort. Sometimes therapy is painful and hard. Sometimes you may wonder if you’re getting better or worse. Almost everyone who has been in therapy has had the same question.
I want to reassure you, from my own experience in therapy and as one who has walked alongside others, the struggle is completely worth it – because you are worth it.
Therapy isn’t all struggle and pain. As hard as it may be to imagine at the moment, there’s also plenty of laughter. Really.

Hi, I’m Kathy
One of my favorite things about living in Tanzania for 5 years was when we “had to” drive across the Serengeti Plain.
A few times we arrived just after fires had raced across the plains. At first glance, the ground was black as far as the eye could see. But when we got closer, we could see tiny blades of fresh, green grass pushing up through the ash.
In a matter of days, the ashy plain would be transformed into beautiful new growth, giving life to millions of beautiful creatures.
What if you stay in the same place, doing the same things? Where will you be next week, next month, next year, or 10 years from now?
On the other hand, what if you gather your courage and reach out for help?
